Who we are

Apex Marketing (ABN 00 000 000 000) is a website and marketing services company based in Sydney, Australia. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to Apex Marketing. "You" or "your" refers to anyone visiting our website or using our services.

What we collect

We collect only the information we need to quote, deliver and support your website. That typically includes:

• Contact details: your name, business name, email, mobile, suburb, trade
• Business information: services you offer, service areas, opening hours, ABN, pricing, photos and reviews you share with us
• Website analytics: aggregated, anonymised traffic data via Google Analytics (page views, device type, general location, referrer)
• Communication records: emails, SMS, call notes between you and us
• Payment data: handled entirely by Stripe — we don’t store card numbers on our servers

If you submit our intake wizard or contact form, we collect what you enter. If you just browse, we see only anonymised analytics.

How we use it

• To quote and build your site. Your business info becomes the copy, design and SEO basis of your website.
• To communicate with you. We email, text and call you about your enquiry, build progress, and ongoing support.
• To send follow-up sequences. If you submit an enquiry but don’t proceed, we’ll send up to 5 follow-up emails over 14 days. Every one has an unsubscribe link.
• To improve the service. Aggregated patterns help us build better templates. We never share your individual data for this.

Who we share it with

We use a small number of trusted service providers to run the business. Each one only gets the minimum information needed:

• Stripe — payment processing. They handle card data, not us.
• ClickSend — SMS delivery. They receive your mobile and the SMS body.
• Google Analytics — anonymised traffic data. IP addresses are anonymised before logging.
• Hosting provider — technical infrastructure. They store your website files and form submissions.
• Email service — we send email through our hosting provider’s SMTP.

We don’t sell your data. We don’t rent lists. We don’t share contact information with unrelated third parties. If a legal order (court, police, regulator) compels disclosure, we’ll comply and, where lawful, notify you.

Your rights (Australian Privacy Act + GDPR where applicable)

You can ask us, any time, to:

• Tell you what personal information we hold about you
• Correct any of it
• Delete it (subject to our legal record-keeping obligations)
• Export it to another provider in a portable format
• Stop using it for marketing (unsubscribe links in every email do this automatically)

Cookies

We use the minimum cookies needed to run the site. Three categories:

• Essential — session cookies for form submissions, CSRF protection. Can’t be disabled without breaking the site.
• Analytics — Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation on. Measures traffic, doesn’t identify you.
• Preference — remembers if you’ve seen our exit-intent popup this session (no personal data).

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels from third-party ad networks, or Facebook pixel tracking on our own site.

Data retention

We keep enquiry data for as long as you’re an active client, plus 7 years after (for tax and legal purposes). If you were never a client, we delete enquiry data after 2 years of inactivity. Analytics data is retained for 14 months per Google’s default.

Security

All data transits over HTTPS. Our hosting environment has daily automated backups, malware scanning, and security monitoring. We use 2FA on all staff accounts. No system is 100% secure, but we apply the standard protections expected of a professional service business in 2026.

Children

Our services are not directed at anyone under 18. We don’t knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. If we make a material change affecting how we use your data, we’ll email existing clients directly.
